Laboratory grinder
WILOFA® TECHNICA DIAMOND INSTRUMENTS
WILOFA® Technica diamond instruments have proven effective for finishing ceramic materials, for margin preparation of sintered all-ceramic crown and bridge frameworks, shaping connectors, removing marginal reinforcement and interference contacts, and processing fused-to-metal ceramic veneers on VMK or all-ceramic restorations - in the fine-grain version for “polishing” the surfaces.
The special coating with hard diamond grit gives the instruments high cutting power, particularly on sintered oxide ceramics (alumina, zirconia) and fluorapatite sintered glass-ceramics. They require only minimal manual force, thereby preventing microcracks in the ceramic structure.
“Ceramic steel” requires a special grinder
WILOFA® TECHNICA laboratory diamond is used to grind zirconia ceramics - commonly referred to as “ceramic steel” - after sintering. When used without pressure in a laboratory turbine with spray cooling, the hard diamond prevents thermal spikes, thereby preventing crystalline phase shifts in the matrix. This helps prevent surface defects caused by subcritical crack growth.
WILOFA diamond instruments have proven themselves to be ideal for dental work. Take advantage of our experience and work with these precise tools.
