RETARD GRINDER
WILOFA® RETARD – MULTIPLE DIAMOND-COATED
RETARD diamond instruments contain a multi-layer diamond deposit. During prolonged, intensive use, worn-out diamond grains are replaced by new ones. This marks the first time RETARD has applied the “shark principle”:
Diamonds that regrow almost like teeth. Multi-layer diamond coating in an electrolytic bonding matrix. The multi-layer grain layers are fixed by electrolytically applied pure nickel. An electro-erosive process ensures cooling channels for the removal of tissue during preparation. During repeated use, the worn-out diamond grain is released; a new, sharp grain takes its place.
DIAMONDS THAT REGROW ALMOST LIKE SHARK TEETH
We took the shark as our model: During use, new diamond grains “grow” from the two-layer diamond coating, much like a shark’s teeth. RETARD diamonds have a higher ablation rate because they feature a two-layer diamond coating. The result is greater cutting power compared to conventionally coated diamond instruments. Reproducible tests and practical experience have shown that RETARD diamonds last significantly longer.
MULTILAYER DIAMOND COATING IN AN ELECTROPLATED BINDER MATRIX.
The multi-layered grain layers are bonded by electrolytically deposited pure nickel. An electro-erosive process creates cooling channels to facilitate material removal during preparation. During the grinding process, the self-sharpening diamond grain is released. Additionally, the second layer comes into play as needed.
WILOFA® RETARD – EXTENDED GRINDING CAPACITY
In vitro tests and over 50 years of clinical experience have shown that RETARD diamonds cut for longer than conventional instruments. Their long-lasting cutting performance makes RETARD cost-effective.
