Since 1961
Founding
WILOFA DIAMANT was founded by Willi Lohmann. The company focused on electroplated diamond and sapphire coatings.
Start of production
Production of dental preparation instruments began at the company’s headquarters in Fachbach an der Lahn.
Blank manufacturing
Blank production on cam-controlled vertical turning machines was carried out in-house.
Retard
Development of the world's first double-layer diamond grinder, which is marketed throughout Europe under the brand name Retard.
Assumption of Management Responsibilities
Horst Lohmann, son of Willi Lohmann, is taking over as managing director.
Expansion of the production building
Expansion of the production facility by 500 m² and expansion of the product portfolio.
Blank manufacturing
Conversion of our in-house blank production to high-precision CNC vertical turning machines.
Zirconia grinder
Development of the first zirconia burs for machining high-strength oxide ceramics.
Assumption of Management Responsibilities
Frank Lohmann, the third generation of the family, took over the business.
Expansion of the Electroplating Facility
Construction of a new electroplating facility - expansion of the electroplating area to over 400 m² to optimize production processes.
